Sindh Transport Minister Awais Qadir Shah announced that the intercity transport services would resume from Wednesday (today) across the province, including the restoration of “online transport services.”
These announcements were made in a press conference that was held between Adviser Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, and Minister Awais Qadir Shah.
The minister said that transporters have to strictly follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs); transporters who would not fail to comply with the government SOPs would not be allowed to operate.
About resumption of online transport services, he said that there are separate SOPs that are mandatory for operators to follow them, including fares reduction.
He also appealed to the people to be cautious and take all precautionary measures while traveling.
Murtaza Wahab also added, asking people to follow the principle of social distancing while traveling.
