    For the first time, in the history of Coronavirus, as many as 19 districts of Punjab reported a single new case in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, in three other districts, two each new cases reported, and in four others, three each new cases detected during the same period. However, in Lahore, 173 new cases have been reported in the past 24 hours.

    These official figures show a downward trend in the National tally, particularly during the last week or so.

    Finally, the medical and health experts breathed a sigh of relief, especially across these 19 districts where no new COVID case found.

    The fortunate districts are Attock, Chakwal, Chiniot, Bahawalnagar, Bhakar, Jhang, Khanewal, Khoshab, Jehlum, Nankana Sahib, Rajanpur, Kasur, Layyah, Muzafar Garh, Lodhran, Mianwali, Norowal, Sheikhupura, and Mandi Bahauddin.

    The provincial data collected revealed that one case reportedly each in Rahim Yar Khan, Okara, Pakpattan, and Toba Tek Singh, while Hafizabad, DG Khan, and Vehari reported two cases each in the past 24 hours.

    Three new cases reported each in Bahawalpur, Sialkot, Gujrat, and Sahiwal during the same 24 hours.

    For the first time, Alhamdulillah, 77 hospitals of Punjab – 17 are the government-run, and 60 are private – does not have a single COVID patient.

    Currently, the provincial tally is 416, who are under treatment at various hospitals, while 69 are in the ICUs. At the same time, the total number of the confirmed virus cases reached the figure of 92,452 in Punjab after 173 new cases added in the tally.

    Out of these new cases, 86 reported from Lahore, 34 from Rawalpindi, ten from Multan, and eight from Faisalabad.

    In Lahore alone, not a single patient under came in 23 private health facilities designated for the Covid-19.

    Meanwhile, the death tally of the province reached 2,133, including eight deaths of the last 24 hours. The figures also revealed the data of recovered patients – 82,515 out of total 92,452 patients had been discharged, including 1,247 of the last 24 hours after.
