The gates to the Cantonment Railway Station that were closed due to the countrywide coronavirus pandemic lockdown, now resumed its passenger service after the restriction for 56 days.
Following the guidelines and respecting social distancing, railways police didn’t allow vehicles inside, asking the private and hired vehicles to drop off their passengers outside the station gates.
From there, people with their luggage formed a queue outside, keeping a four to five feet distance from one another, and then allowed to march inside the train station one by one.
The story doesn’t end here, there were more queues and lines inside, and sanitizing walk-through gates with big squares marked out with yellow masking tape, and needless to say, one’s temperature is also being checked before getting sprayed with disinfectants.
Finally, we saw no violation of SOPs even having a rush of travelers.
